5th Annual “LET UM RING CLASSIC”

The 5th Annual “LET UM RING CLASSIC” was a great day for pitching horseshoes. This was the first official sanction horseshoe tournament at the new Sleepy Hole Park Courts. Their were 27 players participate in the tournament. We had one State Officer; First Vice Chuck Duymich came down and had a wonderful time.

The tournament was broken down to five Classes. The top Three winners from each Class are as follow: In Class A, Richard Brown 1st Place 5-0 with a 61.76, Herman Harper 2nd Place 4-1 with a 62.92 and Kenneth Henson 3rd Place 2-3 with a 40.38.

In Class B, Dewey Ed Strorms 1st Place 5-0 with a 46.55, Alvin Bowers 2nd Place 4-1 with a 41.12 and Anthony Brown 3rd Place 2-3 with a 35.14.

Class C, 1st Place William Ponton 5-0 with a 22.80, 2nd Place Michael Dodson 3-2 with a 21.20 and 3rd Place Robert Snowden 3-2 with a 20.73.

In Class D, Jim Walls 1st Place 3-0 with a 33.33, 2nd Place Joseph Fields 2-1 with a 31.51 and 3rd Place Scott Fencil with a 23.97.

In Class E, David Crocket Jr. 1st Place 4-0 with a 20.83, 2nd Place Thomas Banks 3-1 with a 10.71 and 3rd Place Garry Tyler 2-2 with a 9.00.

I would like to thank all the players that came out to our 5th Annual LET UM RING CLASSIC and hope to see you and many more players back next year. A note to remember. All schedule sanction tournament, the Portsmouth Horseshoe Club and Sleepy Hole Horseshoe will play all their tournament games at Sleepy Hole Park.
