Name
Sleepy Hole
One dream shared with others can build a monument!

The grand opening to the Sleep Hole complex was Grand, and fittingly so. The complex is a monument to the men and women who built it. The only thing missing was a band playing. At each end of every court an American Flag.

Mayor Linda Johnson expressed that the facility is a prime example of what the community forces can do when they work together, from the club members, the sponsors, the Parks and Recreation and the city all working together to build something of beauty. Lakita Frazier head of the Parks and Recreation said she would enter the facility for a National Award.

With all the bright yellow shirts of the Sleepy Hole members you could see in their eyes and expressions the joy and extreme pride they have for their complex.

One hundred or more people attended the opening ceremonies. Forty pitchers played in the tournament and by days end the club gained 6 new members and had leads on a few more.

The Sleepy Hole complex is stunningly beautiful and built to NHPA Spec. I look forward to pitching many events there. To Donnie and the whole club you all have done an outstanding job, The Virginia Horseshoe Pitchers Association is very proud of all of you.
