The Draft Classic

 Finally a weekend of sunshine! With that prediction the Draft Classic got under way with 25 pitchers. The bottle of sunscreen got lots of use. The draft that was blowing offered a little relief from the heat and humidity as did the growing area of shade from the few trees around the courts.

A Class had the largest spread of any class. The heat must have had bothered them as they where all off the games except Ricky Hall. He was only off his average for the day by a half percent. Ricky seeded 4th, managed to catch Amy in an off game beating her  40 to 16. That win allowed Ricky to come home Champion.

David Cowan Sr swept B Class with all wins. His highest game of the day was 51.79%

In C Class, when Howard Aldinger beat Kenny Puffenbarge it forced a play off between Pat Snelgrove and Howard. Howard had lost to Pat in the first round of play. He looked forward to the rubber match between them. Fifty shoes later Howard succumb to Pats pitching 41 to 30. A better fight than their first game. Howard was having a good day as he pitch 4.3% above his average.

Ken Robinson from Richmond in a pivotal game against Jamie Morris beat Jamie. It was Jamies only lose of the day. Jamie had pitched 2.4% above his average. Ken took D Class with 7 wins.
